Improve Health and Safety of Drivers/Mobile Workers

Isotrak improves the safety of your mobile workers

Quite apart from legislation which companies need to follow, the welfare of staff is of utmost importance. The nature of their job means that mobile workers face specific risks. The assets within a truck can amount to thousands of pound, making drivers a target for thieves, while mobile workers come into contact with hundreds of people every day – and occasionally face confrontations.

Isotrak improves the safety of your mobile workers and can act as a deterrent to thieves. Our in-cab hardware can be enabled to send and receive text messages or voice calls and also has specified tacho modes to let you know when a driver is on break or resting – particularly useful when drivers are sleeping in their cabs overnight.

Knowing that systems are in place for their safety and protection increases staff morale, while the ability to stay in contact and adapt to changing plans makes all workers more efficient and contented.

Vehicle Lockdown

Vehicles can be switched to ‘lockdown’ mode which sets up a ring fence around the vehicles location. If the vehicle is moved outside of the set area an alarm is signaled, alerting managers of a possible hijack.

In-cab panic button

Panic buttons can be installed to alert managers of hijack or serious illness. When activated, an alert is sent and flashes driver and vehicle specific details up on screen whist triggering an audible device in the office.

Driving Style Management

Driving style management is targeted at saving fuel and reducing CO2 but an additional benefit lies in the way the vehicles are being driven. Constant monitoring, debriefing and training means more careful driving, and that in turn leads to fewer accidents, while reduced speed has a positive effect on collision rates.

In addition, our vehicle off road (VOR) module, sends active alerts to help you maintain vehicle service schedules helping companies to keep vehicles in a good condition and their drivers safe.

Lone Worker Safety

Mobile workers don’t necessarily work in vehicles. Our lone worker unit, designed for postal workers, allows you to track a worker rather than a vehicle. With a panic button incorporated, lone workers can be confident that help isn’t far away. Ring fences can be established around known trouble spots such as tower blocks to alert managers that a worker has entered.

Vehicle tracking – Manage Drivers/Mobile Workers

The visibility offered by real-time vehicle tracking lets you highlight the places your mobile workers should be… and the places they shouldn’t. If anything goes wrong, you can locate and send help in minutes.

Increased communication inevitably helps with health and safety but coupled with the ability to upload job manifests, offers the ideal way to help manage your drivers and their workload.
