A round of applause could be heard as leading vehicle and transport management solutions business, Isotrak, was chosen by Robert Wiseman as the integral supplier for their business this year at the Robert Wiseman Awards, on the 2nd December in snowy Scotland.

The well-known dairy company began implementing Isotrak’s Active Transport Management (ATMS) software in March 2009 in a deal based on all vehicles being 100% fitted with the innovative product. Robert Wiseman dairies hit their ROI targets during October 2010 on the substantial investment, with the help of Isotrak.

Isotrak’s ATMS proved itself the ideal choice for this challenge after demonstrating a clear financial saving as a result of Isotrak’s unique Transport Efficiency Analysis (TEA). The purpose of the TEA was to build a realistic business case with Wiseman’s based on performance of the trial units, and to accurately model the ability to provide benefits across the dairy’s fleet.

ATMS provides enhanced visibility of vehicle movements via GPS. This has meant Robert Wisemans transport operation have been able to proactively manage delays and other operational issues, whilst also debriefing each driver upon return to understand and improve driving styles and keep unproductive driver time to a minimum

The market leader in GPS tracking and software innovation, Isotrak, exceeded customer expectation by completing implementation at twenty sites within twelve months rather than the predicted eighteen, and as a result they have returned a 7% carbon reduction against a planned target of 5%, which was the scheduled aim at roll-out. This equates to a large saving of 5,000 tonnes of carbon emissions. In addition to these great statistics, Wiseman’s started with a 1 mile per gallon bench mark for fleet improvement, but in reality has enjoyed 0.60 of an improvement against the 1 MPG benchmark.

ATMS helped Wiseman’s execute and organise drivers’ working hours and monitor and produce management reports from collated data in an available format which was not previously accessible to the company.

With a medal awarded in November for “Project of the Year” at the UK IT Industry awards, based upon the great case-study since implementation of ATMS, the relationship between both parties continues to go from strength to strength as they look forward to a fruitful partnership 2011.
